Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of welding or related experience, pass B Class weld tests, and be able to read simple instructions and measure with the metric system.

Qualifikationen

• Must pass GMAW Aluminum B Class and/or FCAW Steel B Weld Certification and approved pre-employment test.
• Performs WPQT’s under limited supervision.
• Grinding, arc gouging, and joint prep for NDE and visual inspections.
• Read simple instructions and measurements in metric units.
• Two years of maritime experience and ability to work any shift.

Aufgaben

• Understand directions and follow instructions.
• Complete daily work assignments with signatures for work completion and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on job sites.
• Perform grinding and joint preparation to meet NDE/visual inspection criteria.
• Monitor environment for quality, safety, and health compliance.
• Willing to train lower-skilled workers.
• May be assigned to shifts or tasks outside the craft.
