England-Thims & Miller, Inc. seeks an entry-level to early-career Engineer or Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) to join our Water & Utility Team in Jacksonville, FL.

This role offers exposure to potable water, reclaimed water, and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through close-out. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers on design, permitting, construction, and project coordination, developing technical and client-management skills while gaining hands-on experience

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 0-5 years of related engineering experience; recent grads encouraged to apply.
• Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) license required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Interest in potable/reclaimed/wastewater, utilities, and/or project management.
• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in civil/Utilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, design, permitting, and construction of potable water, reclaimed water and wastewater projects.
• Perform entry-level engineering calculations and analyses under supervision.
• Prepare construction plans, cost estimates, specs, maps, and technical reports.
• Support project coordination, scheduling, documentation, and tracking.
• Learn applicable regulations, permitting requirements, and engineering standards.
• Assist with technical documents, reports, and project correspondence.
• Participate in site visits and inspections, contributing to construction-phase activities.
