Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking an early career Engineer or Engineer In Training with an innovative mindset to support design and project delivery in our Tampa, FL office.

You will perform engineering assignments from designs, compile data, and prepare plans and reports under close supervision. The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and EIT certification, with preference for AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Certified E.I.T.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments and works from designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, prepares engineering plans.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed on assigned tasks to see that these items are complete, accurate, and in accordance with good engineering practice.
• Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related, detailed steps or processes.
• Perform and coordinate engineering assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria necessary to fulfill the experience requirement for licensure as a professional engineer; perform related work.
• Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected.
