Job summary

Tetra Tech’s Jacksonville team is seeking a Water/Wastewater EIT or PE to plan, design, and deliver municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed-water projects. You’ll work on water mains, gravity sewers, force mains, and pipelines, with opportunities to contribute to pump stations and treatment facilities.

The role requires a 2–8 year background, a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, EI/EIT, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with hybrid office flexibility in Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training certification.
• Familiarity with the engineering design process, permitting, cost estimating, and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and design of municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.
• Perform engineering calculations for water distribution, gravity sewers, and pipelines.
• Support design of pump stations and treatment facilities improvements.
• Prepare engineering reports, memoranda, and supporting documentation.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with permitting and coordination with local agencies.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observation as needed.
• Support project documentation and quality control reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
