Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Newport News, VA is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer to support modeling, facility evaluation, design, and construction administration.

Responsibilities include water and sewer system modeling and the development of plans for improvements. The position offers to grow engineering expertise in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with mentoring for new graduates.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-4 years water/wastewater design experience.
• Understanding of or experience designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems, and treatment.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley MicroStation and water distribution and sewer modeling software a plus.
• Relevant internship experience required for new graduates.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or EIT preferred.
