Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Fairfax, VA team. The role covers design, modeling, rehabilitation of water and sewer systems, facility evaluation and construction administration in a full‑time capacity.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET), 11–15 years of relevant experience, and a Virginia P.E. or eligibility to obtain via comity within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 11–15 years of water/wastewater design experience.
• Familiarity with pipelines, pumping and treatment systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS and modeling software is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Virginia P.E. registration or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.

• Water and sewer pipeline design, modeling and rehabilitation.
• Water and wastewater facility evaluation and design.
• Utility relocation services and construction administration.
