Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with relevant engineering software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering planning, design, and analysis tasks per codes and standards.
• Prepare calculations, memoranda, reports, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Evaluate design alternatives and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with project managers, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in quality control and QA/QC practices.
• Manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines; work with general supervision.
• Support planning and design of water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Prepare documentation and permitting support materials for public infrastructure improvements.
• Support coordination activities such as utility conflicts and easement exhibits.
