Job summary

Artheon is seeking talented professionals to join our Water/Wastewater team in Berlin, NJ to contribute to civil/environmental projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 0–1 years of related experience; internships preferred.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, waterway floodplain delineations, bridge and culvert hydraulics.
  • CAD skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation) are a plus.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design drainage conveyance systems, stormwater BMPs, and hydrologic/hydraulic design for bridges and culverts.
  • Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and drainage design calculations.
  • Prepare/assist with 3D design models in Civil 3D, MicroStation Inroads, and OpenRoads.
  • Draft contract plans and details for project phases (preliminary and final designs).
  • Prepare quantity calculations, cost estimates, and supplemental specifications.
  • Support design efforts with site visits.
  • Prepare design and compliance reports for environmental permit applications (FEMA, NJDEP, Pinelands, etc.).
  • Attend client and regulatory agency meetings and document minutes.
  • Work within a team.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a professional engineer, design various project elements including drainage conveyance systems, stormwater management BMPs, hydrologic and hydraulic design for bridges and culverts, and other related elements
  • Perform hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage design calculations
  • Prepare/assist with 3D design models in Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads and Openroads software

  • Preparation of design and compliance reports in support of environmental permit applications. Assist with preparation of permits to Federal, State, County, and local agencies, including but not limited to FEMA, NJDEP, NJ Pinelands Commission, and County Soil Conservation Districts
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies and prepare meeting minutes
  • Work within a team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related Engineering discipline
  • 0-1 years of related experience; previous internship(s) preferred
  • EIT preferred
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, waterway floodplain delineations, bridge and culvert hydraulics
  • CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation) skills are a plus
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
