Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Professional Stormwater Engineer to join our Civil/Municipal team in East Brunswick, NJ. The role focuses on land development, infrastructure design, and municipal projects, offering opportunities to work on diverse assignments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary group.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of civil engineering design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS, and an EIT certification (PE a plus or pursuing it).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of civil engineering design experience, preferably in land development or municipal projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and other relevant engineering software.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting: Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage and utilities using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Permitting and Compliance: Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.
• Technical Reports: Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making.
