Job summary

Artheon in Berlin, NJ is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to join the Water/Wastewater team. You will assist in designing drainage systems, performing hydrologic/hydraulic calculations, and supporting 3D modeling with Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads and OpenRoads.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 0–1 year of related experience (internships preferred), and an EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
• 0–1 years of related experience; internships preferred.
• EIT preferred

Responsibilities

• Design drainage conveyance systems and stormwater BMPs under supervision.
• Perform hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage design calculations.
• Prepare/assist with 3D design models in Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads and Openroads software
• Draft contract plans and details for various project phases including preliminary and final designs
• Prepare quantity calculations, cost estimates and supplemental specifications
• Perform site visits to support design efforts
• Preparation of design and compliance reports in support of environmental permit applications and assist with permits to FEMA, NJDEP, etc.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies and prepare meeting minutes
