Job summary

Inframark LLC is seeking a Water Operator in Training for our West Basin location in California. The role covers basic cleaning, painting, washing filters, basins, and minor maintenance of water plants, tanks, intakes, and wells. It is the entry-level position responsible for operation and maintenance of water facilities.

The salary range is $25-$30/hr depending on experience; the job emphasizes safety compliance, hands-on equipment handling, and data recording for process control.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school diploma or GED, or specialized vocational training in chemistry.
• Water treatment operations experience and minimum certifications preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver's license and meet minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate water pumping mechanisms to regulate flow and pressure during shifts.
• Operate pumps, valves, turbines, and electric motors to transfer and regulate pressure flow.
• Monitor panel boards and adjust controls to regulate flow and distribution.
• Clean systems by backwashing at designated intervals.
• Record reservoir water elevation, power consumption, and equipment data.
