AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Water Engineer to join our Water Team. This full-time role offers the chance to contribute to national and international projects under close supervision.

You will assist with data analysis, calculations, report preparation, and field observations, while receiving structured mentorship from experienced professionals. A civil engineering degree (ABET) and EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: PC skills; knowledge of ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad, HEC-HMS, WaterGEMS, SWMM, Infoworks ICM and HEC-RAS preferred.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to diversify tasks requiring analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
• Prepare assigned sections of reports under close supervision.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis and research alternative design approaches.
• Prepare materials for reports, permits, outlines, and progress documents.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Conduct field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Perform such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
