Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Water Engineer to join our Water Team in the United States, based out of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work on national and international projects as part of a growing team of young engineers.

You will apply standard engineering techniques, perform data analysis, and prepare reports and permit materials under supervision. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited) and 0–2 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree from ABET accredited college/university.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad and related software is desirable but not required.
• EI or EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of diversified tasks.
• Prepare assigned sections of reports under close review.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching feasibility of design approaches and regulatory specs.
• Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gathering information and writing outlines.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Conduct field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Perform such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
