Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh/Charlotte seeks an entry-level Water Engineer to join our Water Team, performing standard engineering tasks, data analysis, and report preparation under close supervision. You will gain hands-on experience on national and international projects, with mentorship from experienced professionals and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent ABET accredited degree.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• E.I. or EIT preferred.
• ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad, HEC-HMS, WaterGEMS, SWMM, Infoworks ICM and HEC-RAS experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to diverse tasks using analysis, interpretation and deductive reasoning.
• Prepare assigned sections of reports under close supervision of an experienced professional.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis and research feasibility of design approaches.
• Prepare material for reports and permit applications and prepare work progression documents and graphics.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Conduct field observations of construction when appropriate.
• Carry out other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor
