Job summary

Eagle Mountain City is seeking an Operator I to perform entry-level duties at the city's wastewater treatment facility, operating and maintaining equipment and assisting with collection system tasks. The role reports to the Wastewater System Supervisor/Operator Lead.

Responsibilities include daily facility operations, preventative maintenance, sampling, and process monitoring. The job requires a CDL, ability to lift 100 lbs, and willingness to work 24-hour stand-by with weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform strenuous manual labor.
• Flexibility to work 24-hour stand-by, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facility equipment and processes.
• Collect samples and document laboratory data for process optimization.
• Respond to sewer emergencies and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Inspect and repair pumps, generators, and safety systems as needed.
