Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Silsbee, TX is hiring entry-level Utility hourly labor positions at the extrusion plant. Starting pay is $20.63 per hour.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may involve 12-hour rotating days and nights with a 3-4 day work week. Responsibilities include performing assigned duties safely, being able to work overtime, weekends and holidays, and providing vacancy relief as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year industrial experience or an Associate Degree in an industrial occupation.
• Reliable and dependable, able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Decision making and troubleshooting abilities, good communication and computer skills.
• Must be safety minded, highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned job duties in a safe and efficient manner within the extruder plant.
• Works anywhere in the plant as assigned and provides vacancy relief as needed.
• Follows safety policies, wears PPE, and participates in Mill safety programs.
