Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc, a leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring for an entry level General Service hourly labor position at our Evadale, TX paper mill. The role involves performing duties safely, standing, and working around large equipment, with overtime and weekend shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, up to two years of industrial experience or an associate degree, and must be reliable, able to rotate shifts, and adhere to safety policies and PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ industrial experience or an associate degree in an industrial occupation.
• Reliable and dependable, and available to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Must understand safety policies, wear PPE, and participate in mill safety programs.
• Good communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned job duties in a safe and efficient manner within a paper mill.
• Works anywhere in the mill as assigned and may require overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Provides vacancy relief as needed.
