Job summary

HOLT Truck Centers in Fort Worth is seeking an entry-level Level 1 Technician to perform routine maintenance and basic inspections on heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The position typically requires one year of experience or less and operates under supervision.

The technician will troubleshoot basic engine issues, complete service reports, and ensure safety and proper documentation. Onsite work with supervision, reporting to the supervisor, and adherence to company policies are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to one year of experience preferred.
• Safety training required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic engine malfunctions with supervision.
• Performs basic engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with supervision.
• Completes service reports, timecards, and parts requisition documentation.
• Maintains company equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, safe condition.
• Communicates progress to supervisor and customers as needed.
• Adheres to safety policies and HazMat rules and regulations.
