Job summary

HOLT Truck Centers in San Antonio is seeking an entry-level Level 1 Technician/Preventative Maintenance (PM) technician to perform routine maintenance and basic inspections on heavy‑duty commercial vehicles. This is a full-time, onsite role with supervision and clear development pathways.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting under supervision, basic engine repairs, completing service reports and parts requisitions, and maintaining tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to one year of experience preferred.
• Safety training and task training required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic engine malfunctions with supervision.
• Performs basic engine repairs on trucks and trailers with supervision.
• Completes service reports, timecards, parts requisitions and returns.
• Interprets manuals and service bulletins for repairs.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
