Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Virginia is seeking a Trimmer Trainee. You will trim and remove trees, operate and service tools, load debris, and feed brush into a woodchipper while keeping safety top of mind.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position. No experience is required, but you must be 18+ and physically capable, with a willingness to work at heights. The company provides health and life insurance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment, as assigned.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clear and orderly.
