Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer Trainee in Wisconsin. This full-time, non-exempt position involves trimming and removing trees, operating equipment, loading loads, and helping keep work sites safe and efficient.

You’ll work outdoors across various weather conditions, with training provided. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and learning to operate specialized tools while supporting crew needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position; no prior tree-trimming experience required.
• Previous experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans debris, loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Assists in training new employees and guides teammates.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in work areas.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic and operates trucks as needed.
