Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in York County, PA, seeks a Climber I to perform general tree care, pruning, cabling, bracing, and removals as part of a field crew. You will assist with site clearing and debris disposal in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated role-specific skills or verifiable experience.
• Follow procedures for roping, rigging, and equipment maintenance.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and schedules.
• Interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform basic math for weight, volume, and distance in arboriculture.
• Estimate weight/volume/distance for field ops.
• Apply critical thinking in variable, non-standard tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certified in EHAP, First-Aid and CPR.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prune and limb removal in ground and canopy up to ~60 ft.
• Access trees safely per protocol; move in canopy and avoid damage.
• Safely operate chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use chainsaws ground and canopy; basic to intermediate skills.
• Use hand tools: saws, pruners, poles, rakes, shovels.
• Wear and use PPE per industry and company standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized work zone.
• Follow plans to prevent property damage and injuries.
