Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support Construction & Mining operations. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of a construction and mining equipment fleet, with emphasis on improving reliability and managing preventative maintenance programs.

The position involves travel and working in both office and field environments, with annual base compensation listed as 80,000–90,000.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field as listed in the ad.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
• Experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting preferred.
• Strong work ethic, organization, time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate; office and field work environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork processing for critical lifts.
• Use reliability data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Establish and maintain communications between supervision and management.
• Support maintenance crews – ordering parts, inventory, scheduling, quality and safety.
• Handle specialty projects as needed.
