Job summary

The City of Greenville, through its Greenville Urban Area MPO, seeks an entry-level Transportation Planner I to support core operations and committee work. You will assist with scheduling, agendas, data collection, and the preparation of maps and reports for local and state partners.

Responsibilities include supporting public inquiries, contributing to meeting materials, and helping organize MPO events. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 1 year of related planning experience.
• Ability to organize time, communicate clearly, and analyze technical data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing agendas.
• Take notes and prepare meeting minutes for MPO committees.
• Gather data for federal/state reporting and prepare reports and charts.
• Prepare maps, posters, and PowerPoint presentations for meetings.
• Coordinate special events and MPO projects.
• Assist with public inquiries and provide information about MPO activities.
• Contribute to quarterly invoices and agendas/materials for meetings.
• Attend staff and policy board meetings with various agencies.
