Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer I to join our team in Boston, MA, and other MA/RI locations. You will assist senior staff with transportation engineering and planning tasks, develop maps and reports, and support project delivery across multimodal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required at time of employment.
• Academic or internship experience in transportation preferred.
• Entry level position; no prior experience required.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Interest in DOT permitting and ADA standards familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Learn transportation engineering and planning work with senior staff.
• Assist in marketing the firm's capabilities to establish clients.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and internal services.
• Prepare maps/graphics for meetings; data analysis and field reviews.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports; assist in grant applications.
• Participate in construction-related assignments; draft communications.
• Maintain organized project files; QA/QC review support.
• Work on analyses and design aspects including multimodal projects.
