Baxter & Woodman is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer for our Peoria Heights, IL office. You will contribute to design and construction engineering on municipal, county, and state transportation projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, applies Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and requires a BS in Civil Engineering and internship experience; travel within our service area is expected.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role for Transportation Engineer with municipal/highway project exposure.
• Requires BS in Civil Engineering and relevant internship/co-op experience.
• Willingness to travel within Baxter & Woodman’s service area.

Responsibilities

• Design Roadway, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements using Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Conduct drainage, traffic, and various engineering studies.
• Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
• Complete engineering plans and specifications using IDOT Standards.
• Process Federal Aid Phase I and II projects for a variety of clients.
• Assist with construction engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
• Assist project engineers and managers with a wide variety of tasks required for project delivery.
