Job summary

Irby Construction, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer (Transmission) to support project managers and field leadership across high‑voltage transmission construction in the West Region. The role offers hands-on exposure to schedules, costs, RFIs, submittals, safety, and closeout activities.

The ideal candidate recently graduated with a degree in construction management or a related field and is eager to learn, travel, and collaborate with office and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Entry-level opportunity; prior utility construction experience not required.
• Strong interest in electric utility construction and project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and field leadership with coordination of transmission construction projects.
• Support pre-construction activities including drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, look‑ahead plans, progress updates, and milestones.
