Job summary

Palm Tran seeks an entry-level planning professional to support its short- and long-range planning efforts, assist in research studies, respond to public feedback, and manage shelter and amenity inventories.

You will help develop planning documents, analyze transit studies, and coordinate with FDOT, Palm Beach County, MPO, and other agencies in a semi-independent role under supervision.

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree with two years’ planning experience and GIS/MS Office skills or equivalent.
• High School Diploma + four+ years of relevant experience with GIS/MS Office can be substituted.
• Bachelor’s degree with less than two years’ experience may be considered equivalent.
• Master’s degree with coursework including practical planning work may substitute for two years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree with major work in City/Urban Planning or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and project support to Palm Tran’s short- and long-range planning activities.
• Assist in research studies and respond to public suggestions and comments.
• Order and track shelter and amenity inventory; assist with planning documents.
• Develop, plan, review and analyze transit planning studies and market research.
• Collaborate with business community, FDOT, Palm Beach County, MPO, and other agencies.
