LaBella Associates is seeking a motivated Transportation Planner to join our team. You will assist in developing planning studies, conduct analyses, and prepare reports while collaborating with senior staff and clients.

The role emphasizes GIS proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to deliver graphics and visual materials. AICP candidate is preferred, with 0-3 years experience in transportation planning and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years’ experience in transportation planning or related field.
• AICP Candidate is preferred.
• Skilled with GIS programs and applications
• Knowledge of transportation planning (transit operations) principles and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong graphical skillset and design aesthetic highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning studies and reports and support evaluation of transportation plans.
• Develop maps, drawings, conceptual designs, graphical materials, and visual aids.
• Write and contribute to sections of technical reports and other project documentation.
• Oversee and assist with data collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Attend and participate in meetings with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, and other stakeholders to gather data and manage project schedules.
• Assist in facilitating public and client meetings, including preparation and follow-up actions.
