W D Wright Contracting Inc is seeking a Traffic Controller in Leland, NC. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, weekly pay, overtime, and clear promotion opportunities.

The position involves setting up and managing traffic control at construction sites to keep workers safe, with required basic safety training provided. The successful candidate will be 18+, able to handle outdoor conditions, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment.
• Be physically capable of performing flagging duties and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Have reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and report safety concerns
• Review start time and address of the job site or meeting location
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor
• Other job duties as assigned
