Job summary

W D Wright Contracting Inc in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an entry-level Traffic Controller to support construction crews with safe traffic control. You will set up, maintain, and remove work zones, install cones and signs, and guide traffic to protect workers on site.

No prior experience is required. We offer on-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime. You must be 18+, able to pass a drug screen, and have a smartphone for timekeeping. Safety is a priority at Wright.

Qualifications

• Requires use of timekeeping app via smartphone.
• Must have smartphone with internet access for schedules/timekeeping.
• Must pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones with signs and cones.
• Load and unload work zone equipment at the job site.
• Complete and submit all paperwork timely before leaving the site.
• Wear and maintain PPE as per Wright policy.
• Keep company vehicles clean and report safety concerns to management.
• Verify start time and job site/address as provided by the scheduler.
• Read Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Report to a Field Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
