W D Wright Contracting Inc is hiring a Traffic Controller in Beech Grove, IN. This full-time entry-level role offers on-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime opportunities.

No prior experience is required, and the position starts at $15 per hour. As a Traffic Controller you will set up and manage safe work zones, follow ATSSA and DOT guidelines, and communicate with construction teams to protect workers and pedestrians.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication to receive work schedule.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug free status.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be physically capable of performing all flagging duties.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location as established and sent by office scheduler via company app
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor
• Other job duties as assigned
