Job summary

W D Wright Contracting Inc in Hanover, PA is seeking a Traffic Controller to support construction crews on site. This entry-level full-time role offers a starting wage of $15.00–$16.00 per hour, on-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime opportunities.

As a Traffic Controller you will set up and maintain safe work zones, manage signs and cones, perform flagging duties, and ensure compliance with ATSSA and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate heat, cold, and rain.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status.
• Be able to stand for the entire shift; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including signs and cones according to ATSSA and DOT regulations.
• Load and unload work zone equipment to/from the company vehicle at the job site.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork before leaving the last job site.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE per Wright policy.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean and safe; report safety concerns.
• Review start time and job site address as provided by the office scheduler.
• Read Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
