W D Wright Contracting Inc in Burlington, NC is seeking a Traffic Controller to join our team. Entry-level role with on-the-job training, weekly pay, and opportunities for promotion. Starts at $14.50 per hour with safety as a priority.

You will set up and monitor safe work zones, assist with traffic control, and ensure compliance with ATSSA/DOT regulations. This position requires readiness for varying weather and physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and schedules.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and varying climates.
• Pass a drug screen and maintain a drug-free status.
• Stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones per ATSSA/DOT.
• Load and unload work zone equipment to/from the company vehicle.
• Complete and submit required paperwork before leaving the site.
• Wear and maintain PPE per Wright policy.
• Inform management of safety concerns or vehicle issues.
• Review start time and job site address as provided by the scheduler.
• Consult Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Report to a Field Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
