Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks an entry level Accounting Analyst within the Office of Student Accounts (OSA) in the Third-Party unit. Under supervision, the analyst will post tuition assistance, bill and invoice, and collect on third-party accounts while ensuring compliance with UMGC, state, and federal policies.

The role supports reconciliations, data entry, and reporting, while delivering responsive service to students, agencies, and staff in a hybrid Adelphi, MD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred in Business/Finance/Accounting).
• Two years of related experience preferred for an entry-level role.
• Knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and compliance in higher education accounting.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains third-party payer accounts and ensures policy adherence.
• Performs reconciliations, exhibits, and financial reporting in internal databases.
• Provides world-class customer service via phone, email, and ticketing system to students and agencies.
• Processes invoices, vouchers, receipts, and reports with accuracy.
• Input and monitor data in automated systems and generate reports.
