Job summary

Crane Co. is seeking a Testing Technician to perform assigned testing operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will create detailed non-conformance reports and perform initial root-cause investigations, interpreting work orders, drawings, and procedures to ensure accurate test results.

Responsibilities include calibrating units, performing both automated and manual testing, and supporting safety and process improvement initiatives. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a highly regulated manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
• Familiarity with product flow in manufacturing or repair settings and basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned testing operations within a specified functional area.
• Create non-conformance reports detailing testing performed, failures, and initial root-cause findings.
• Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, procedures, and manuals to conduct tests.
• Calibrate or adjust units and perform necessary mathematical calculations for various parameters.
• Execute automated and manual testing using a range of equipment and test consoles.
• Operate standard test equipment and interpret results for the assigned product area.
• Test units in other programs under supervision and comply with safety policies.
• Support CBS initiatives including 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, and problem solving.
• Work overtime as needed and perform any other duties as assigned.
