Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an entry-level engineer to join a multidisciplinary team focused on telecommunications in building construction. The role offers exposure to healthcare, education and commercial projects, with mentorship from licensed engineers.

You will help prepare construction documents, learn codes, and develop skills in design software like Revit and Navisworks while contributing to project outcomes and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree required by hire date.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
• Experience with engineering design software (Revit, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the preparation of construction documents and basic specifications of telecommunications systems for building construction.
• Under direct supervision, may design telecommunications systems for healthcare, education/higher education and commercial clients, per applicable codes.
• Develop ability to analyze engineering documents and layout systems with engineering oversight.
• Under supervision develop knowledge of applicable codes for telecommunications design.
• Recommend improvements with reference standards and processes to improve quality, coordination, and streamline production.
