Job summary

Central Houston Cadillac Dealership in Houston, TX is seeking Automotive Service Technicians to perform routine service inspections and standard maintenance in a fast-paced shop. You will read and interpret data to maintain accurate records, conduct multi-point inspections, and uphold a clean, safe work environment while delivering friendly customer service to our customers.

State Inspection license is required; GM certification is a plus, with opportunities for GM-specific training and career

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State Inspection license required.
• Technician experience preferred; GM certification is a plus.

Job Summary

An Automotive Service Technician performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs in a timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Perform Multi Point Inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Understanding of automotive systems.
• Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State Inspection license required.
• Technician experience preferred.
• GM Certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
