Job summary

Quanta-Services is seeking an Assistant Technical Writer to draft, edit, and format technical documents, proposals, and SOPs. This entry-level role collaborates with engineering, proposals, and business operations to ensure clarity and professionalism in every deliverable.

Onsite work at one of our engineering offices is preferred, with opportunities to grow in engineering communications. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in journalism or English and be proficient in Microsoft Office, with a

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience with AP style or other formal technical writing standards.
• Prior publications or writing samples are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, edits, and formats technical documents, proposals, job descriptions, SOPs and internal communications.
• Formats documents using templates and style guides to ensure consistency.
• Contributes to development and maintenance of SOPs and reference materials.
• Collaborates with engineering, proposals, and business teams to translate technical content into clear writing.
• Supports layout, formatting, and light graphics coordination for proposals and presentations.
• Proofreads and quality-checks documents prior to distribution or submission.
• Raises document or process issues and proposes practical solutions.
• Maintains responsibility for quality and professionalism of all written work.
