Formlabs in Somerville, MA seeks a Technical Program Manager to shepherd new hardware technology from concept to production. You will coordinate design, engineering, production, and supply chain, managing budgets and staffing while reporting to leadership on progress and risks.

You will apply technical knowledge to drive decisions, optimize schedules, and deliver cost-conscious programs that align with company goals. This in-person role offers a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of a technical product design life cycle and problem solving processes.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to drive decision making and program strategy.
• Business-minded to break down program decisions in terms of dollars.
• Passionate about improving schedule and project efficiency.
• Experience working cross-functionally between product, engineering, production, and supply chain, with the ability to communicate with senior management.
• Experience creating and implementing program management tools for communication, scheduling, risk management, resource planning, cost tracking, and production planning.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ship the best product as fast as possible.
• Manage strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of technically complex products from concept through production.
• Own the program budget, including staffing plans and cost targets.
• Create and maintain product cost models to hit cost targets.
• Act as the link between the program team and stakeholders with senior leadership reporting.
• Use disciplined project management to define scope and deliver within cost and schedule.
• Monitor progress, evaluate quality, and manage risk and issues for stakeholders.
