Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Saltwater Disposal (SWD) Technician in Midland, TX to operate and maintain saltwater disposal facilities safely, monitor data, and support regulatory compliance. You will inspect wells and pumps, record volumes and pressures, perform routine maintenance, and join safety meetings while contributing to a clean, well-run site with opportunities to learn and grow in the Permian Basin.

Entry-level role with on-the-job training; a valid driver's license and ability to lift up

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Entry level position; no experience required.
• A current valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Able to read and write to read pressure gauges and complete paperwork.
• Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
• Strong adaptability skills
• Eager to learn
• Basic understanding of how to operate hand tools such as grease guns and wrenches to lubricate or tighten equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate saltwater disposal wells, pumps, tanks, meters, and related equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of SWD facilities, pipelines, and injection systems.
• Record and report daily operational data including volumes, pressures, temperatures, and flow rates.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor injection pressures and rates to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond to equipment failures, spills, leaks, and other operational issues.
• Coordinate water truck unloading and verify disposal volumes.
• Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and safety records.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required training.
