Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville, SC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in care of patients before, during and after procedures as a member of the surgical team.

You will prepare the OR, arrange instruments, maintain aseptic technique and assist the team during operations, while ensuring instrument counts and specimen care. Education: Surgical Technology program; CST/TS-C certification; no prior experience needed; bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training.
• No previous experience required.
• Maintains patient safety, privacy and confidentiality; complies with legal aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures by collecting supplies and instruments.
• Prepares the OR by opening sterile supplies and arranging instruments.
• Assists the surgical team during procedures and maintains instrument counts.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors for breaches; acts to correct.
• Trains and assists with integration of new team members and supports the team.
