Job summary

Prisma Health’s Patewood Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will perform scrub duties and support the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and aseptic standards.

Requirements include completion of a Surgical Technology program or U.S. Armed Forces ST training, and ongoing 15 hours of ST education annually. This is a day shift occupying the Operating Room-PMH department.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• No previous experience required.
• Must complete 15 hours annually of ST education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operative procedures and maintain instrument counts.
• Prepare OR by arranging sterile supplies and equipment.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for breaches; correct as needed.
• Handle specimens and medications under RN direction.
• Assist with coaching and onboarding of new team members.
