Job summary

West Allis Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist in aseptic preparation, gowns, draping, instrument handling and maintaining a sterile field to support patient care.

Ideal candidates demonstrate knowledge of OR equipment, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A formal Surgical Technology program completion is required, with BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire (or as determined by department leader).

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptic preparation and sterile field maintenance for procedures.
• Prepare and drape the surgical area and pass instruments.
• Move and setup OR equipment, and assist in positioning.
• Ensure environmental disinfection and safety of the operating room.
• Function as a Second Assistant as necessary.
• Notify staff of equipment or supply problems.
