Job summary

Jet Insurance Company is seeking an entry-level underwriter to support underwriting for new inquiries and policy renewals. You will assess risk, determine pricing, and document decisions while delivering excellent client service.

Training will occur across Jet Financial Corps divisions (BondExchange and Jet Insurance Services) to build breadth of industry knowledge and pathways into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications; ability to learn proprietary underwriting software.

Responsibilities

• Process new applications and record information accurately.
• Perform underwriting analysis and determine eligibility and pricing for bond applicants.
• Respond to customer inquiries about underwriting decisions, premiums, and policy details.
• Collaborate with other underwriters and business units to gather information and explain decisions.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing opportunities and competitive insights.
• Review new surety claims and collect essential documents per SOPs.
• Maintain organized records of underwriting decisions and supporting rationale.
