Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an entry-level Electrical or Computer Engineer interested in development, testing, and support of embedded control systems. You will contribute to propulsion plant control system work for the U.S.

Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program and gain exposure to I&C systems and submarine fleets. The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on engineering, and collaboration with Navy stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical, engineering or science field.
• GPA 3.0+ is preferred.
• Experience working in a team environment with stakeholders.
• Academic Project, Intern or Co-Op in Systems, Hardware or Software Development.

Responsibilities

• Build on your Electrical/Computer engineering knowledge and develop systems engineering and troubleshooting skills.
• Develop understanding of naval nuclear power plant instrumentation and control systems for safe operation.
• Interact with the U.S. Navy’s nuclear fleet to assess problems and provide emergent support.
