Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the Power Technology unit within the New Design group. You will design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for shipboard instrumentation, control, and power electronics across naval platforms.

The role involves prototyping hardware, integrating hardware/software, and preparing test reports; collaboration with engineers is essential to ensure safety, reliability, and mission readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • GPA not specified; leadership and problem‑solving skills valued.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities expected.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems for shipboard applications.
  • Prototype hardware, integrate system hardware and software, and conduct qualification testing.
  • Procure equipment for verification/validation and collaborate across engineering teams.
  • Prepare design documents, test procedures, and reports; develop project plans.
