Job summary

AECOM's Buildings + Places Structural Engineering team in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join the team. This role offers hands-on mentorship and growth opportunities on a mix of federal and non-federal projects across the U.S. and globally.

The position features a hybrid schedule—3 days in the office and 2 days remote—and an immediate start. You will build analytic and design skills, perform designs and calculations under supervision, and contribute to projects from

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural concentration or equivalent.
EIT certification preferred or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Experience with structural design analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under supervision.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams and final drawings under supervision.
Collects and analyzes data under supervision.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work within budget and schedule under supervision.
