Job summary

Garver LLC in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Structural Engineer in Training (Entry-Level) to develop structural designs and documentation for the Buildings team. You will perform analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for structures includingSteel, concrete, cold-formed steel, masonry, and wood, leveraging BIM tools.

The role requires a ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree with a structural emphasis and EIT eligibility or pending registration within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registered Engineer In Training (EIT) or able to become registered within 6 months.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and a good team player.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing.
• Perform construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, site observations, and reports.
• Use BIM design software to produce structural drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist project managers and follow QA/QC plans.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Continue education and learning based on project and team needs.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors.
