Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group seeks an entry-level Structural Engineer to join our Indianapolis office. You will support design and construction through calculations, drawings, and code compliance, coordinating with drafting staff and clients.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S./M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with 0–1 year of internship. Revit experience is highly preferred as you contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• 0–1 year of structural engineering internship or co-op experience.
• Revit experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drafting staff, clients and other project team members.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to ensure correct design implementation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with project teams.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents and construction.
• Create construction-ready drawings coordinated with all disciplines.
• Manage shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and coordination with construction teams.

We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer, who is passionate about the design & construction process to join our offices in Atlanta/Houston/Indianapolis/New York. A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
• Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams

Necessary Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 0-1 years of structural engineering internship or co-op experience
• Revit experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
